I'm nearly the same way. Although perhaps I am "colder" than you are. I won't interfere wiht the actions of others so long as it doesn't effect me directly. Or, if I know there will be negative consequences for me to let it happen, then I'll interfere. This hardly ever happens though, as I myself am mostly a "keep to myself" kind of guy, even though I do hang out with my "friends" (casual friends, not like really close friends, except for maybe one) on many occasion. Interesting that I usually don't show my true nature to them. Although one of my better friends has been known to state I can be rather cold at times.
So I'm under the impression that you have to find a new roommate now? Which would totally suck for you. Finding good roommates can be a bitch. Although now that you look at it, would you really have wanted her as your roommate? I wouldn't. o.o
