Hmmm....interesting

*NOTE: DOWNLOAD THIS PIECE TO HEAR IT*

This is certainly an original idea (although the 7 in "originality" is simply because this is a cover of someone else's piece).

The low drone synth sounds as if it clashes with the rest of the piece. I understand you were trying to create a techno-ish theme with a bit of a middle-eastern sound to it, and perhaps the fact that it's rarely been done makes it sound so strange.

All in all, I don't understand why the AP won't stream this piece, but you really put some thought into this and for that I commend you. It just sounds too far out for my tastes, but I won't downgrade you for that; actually, the originality of the rendition is highly commendable.

RRRROOOOOOOOOORRRRR!!!!!

Damn man! With every new entry you release, you remind me of how much I friggin' love you.

This piece is driven from start to finish with greasy guitar lead riffs and wonderfully syncopated guitar frams that along with the fast-paced drums keep this piece going down the path of flames that it started on once it was fired from the gun.

Keep up the awesome metal work!

Interesting piece

It has a bit of a light and dark vibe that ironically blends very well. I could see this as kind of a Silent Hill BGM. Wonderful execution of choir samples as well as establishing the malicious underdrones that support the piece.

I really, really wish I had the patience to use reason more. I did play piano for a time and have some nice ideas. Sadly, I'm way toooo lazy to draw out every single note. hahaha.
Glad you liked it man. Cool as hell review too. I only uploaded this, to make you jealous of the chorus samples...although, there are sooo many more...that are really cool too.

Thanks again, man!\m/

Not bad for a first shot

For a first attempt, I'd say it's not a bad one. The piece is very simple which is to be expected from a new composer.

Considering that it's a first piece, it was fairly well mixed, although it sounded as if there was some flange on the drums which wasn't too bad, but it wasn't good either.

There seemed to only be 2 to 3 actual tracks involved in this piece and they were repetitive as most dance music usually is.

However, again, considering that this is your first piece, it's a great start. With practice and learning, you have the potential to go far with your music. Keep it up!

Eeeeee

This piece makes me want to set furniture on fire. Hell, maybe later.

*shrugs

Anyhow, this piece really drives, but not like the average metal piece. This one more drives like a semi truck on fire plows through a trailer park. The guitar riffs are smokin' and very original (at least from what I'm used to with metal). The drums are crazy fast, but believe me, I've heard people play drums like that and it is indeed very believable.

If your other music is as amazing as this, then there's no reason you shouldn't soar to high heights as a metal musician.

Keep it up!

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks for listening man! I know a few drummers who can play this kind of metal which is good. :)

Needs work

First of all, all of the percussion needs to be set in the background and a better drum sequence in the foreground. The current percussion is not good for driving, but it would be a good complement to a much more clear drum part.

Other than that, I would set the stringed instrument a tad further back into the mix. Also, add a pad in the midsection to fill the gap that's there in the sound spectrum.

Aside from that, this piece sounds like it has the potential to sound great.

Simple but eerie

This piece works very well for any ambient horror environment. I am quite curious as to where you acquired the sounds/samples used in this. I've been greatly desiring to get the "feedback" sound that people commonly use in horror.

Not to mention, what sounded like pitch bends on scream sounds was a particularly good touch. However, I would have taken out the stab synth and left this piece to the pads assigned to it.

Very Driving piece

This piece begins simple and escalates very well. It drives with the pulsing of heartpounding action, as if there was a chasing scene with a sense of desperation for the person to escape from those who wish to extinguish him.

The drums were awesome in their execution and mixing, although there were some synths that I personally would have set back a little more in the mix and less in the foreground, but it didn't appear to be a flaw -- rather, it seems to be a matter of style.

Awesome job, cornandbeans. Keep `em coming.

cornandbeans responds:

:D thanks!

I tried a bit of compression on the song (as a whole) whereas I probably should have worked on the individual channels. You might have been hearing the sub-bass though, that tends to overpower a bit. But you're right, it is more of a style. Without it, the drums sound weak. And being that it is drum n' bass... yea. :P

Thanks for the review! :)

Wonderful Piano piece

Wonderfully composed and executed. You play with such finesse, and this piece flows with beauty.

Keep up the good work.

Great song

Although it's very simple, I just really appreciate the humorous originality of the piece.

this is going in my music library.

Dan-Plus-Add responds:

Thank you, I appreciate that :)
