This piece would be suited for gaming

This is definitely battle music for a game. Very well composed, executed, and mixed.

Great for an action scene

If you're not scoring anyone's flash movies/games, then these people are really missing out on some really good work.

This piece would most definitely be suited for a mecha battle scene.

Hmm, I'll have to advertise to do that then, never really saw the potential in this stuff : D

-Thanks!

Excellent Ambient Piece

Wonderfully done. This piece creates an auditory vision of the idea and mood behind the title. It takes a lot of talent to be able to pull that sort of thing off.

Keep it up!

itsameyayo responds:

Wow, thanks much! I'll be sure to kick off a track on Tuesday night, and another sometime in December :D

A simple but well composed piece

This piece has that same drive that Chopin would have in his pieces. I commend you on not only your composing ability and talent, but also in your use of technique and keeping the mood set in that of a true Nocturne.

Thank you for sharing. Keep up the good work!

Interesting and original

This piece, as well as being original and well-conceived, is very well mixed and executed.

I'm impressed by the display of originality involved here. Personally, though, I'd work at making it longer (unless you intentionally wanted it that short).

Good piece, but formless

There seems to be no song structure involved in this piece. I suppose that as a trance piece, though, it could get away with that. I could not see dancing to this piece, however, I could see this piece working very well with a dark sci-fi action sequence scene.

So, in respect, I enjoyed this piece.

Great!

I use Edirol Orchestral for all of my orchestral pieces (I believe I submitted some to the AP as well).

This was a good execution, and it would be well suited for a survival horror game.

The transition from the slower creepy music into the intensely moving music was well done.

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

Thanks. I like this song(it was the first actually good thing I had made with EDIROL), but I think I made it too short.

Well defined and executed

In the composing of this piece, you seem as though you knew exactly what you wanted to hear. Just listening to this, I feel I can see what you were seeing that gave you this inspiration.

While this is a simple piece, simplicity in music is never a bad thing if it is done under the right circumstances.

Great work.

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

Thanks.

For a first mix, this is "okay"

This piece still needs help. It sounds as though you only have the basic layers laid down, which for your first mix, is a good start. However, you need to build on top of this. Add more instruments and movement. And furthermore, bring the lead synth a little more forward so it doesn't sound as "in the mix" as it currently does.

This is a good start, but I cannot give it a high rating just yet. Keep at it.

Needs more to it

You have an interesting mix here. The timing and variety of samples is astoundingly good, however, add more instrument lines, perhaps a bassline and some techno synths. Don't let these game sfx samples drive the piece; let them complement it. I would use this current piece as a foundation and build a song on top of it.

Kasualty responds:

Keep in mind that it's only a demo.
